Despite the snowy, cold weather, over 100 GRCC students, faculty and guests braved the elements to Pass It Forward.
Seventeen different community partners were positively impacted by this event, with projects ranging from sorting food for a food bank to working one-on-one with residents of a local senior center.Mark Hutchison, Hope Lodge Coordinator, had this to say: "I want to thank you for your group's hard work last Friday. Everyone was very professional and hardworking! We got everything accomplished. What a great program and thank you for including Hope Lodge!" Participants shared strong connections between their classwork and their experience. One student, working with Ransom Towers shared: "Listening is sometimes the best gift. Annie from [Ransom Towers] said, "you may not realize how much a a gift you have been given with a single breath of oxygen...be thankful for that gift." Another students said: "Learning is not something that is only found in the classroom but is extended to every situation in our lives. Today we learned the value of teamwork and the joy that comes from giving to help others who are in need."
Pass It Forward. Community Impact. Positive Change.
