Scholarship Opportunities for Deferred Action for Early Childhood Arrivals (DACA) Students
While DACA and undocumented students are not eligible to receive federal and State of Michigan financial aid funds, scholarships are available! If you are a DACA student, you may be considered for Grand Rapids Community College Foundation scholarships (GRCCF), as well as a number of private scholarships.
To be considered for a GRCCF Scholarship, simply complete the 2017-18 GRCC Foundation Scholarship Application above and respond “Yes” to the question: Are you part of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program? DACA students are not required to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for consideration.

Scholarship funds are available for tuition and books for students enrolled in the ADN or PN program at GRCC. To qualify, applicants must demonstrate financial need, and receive two faculty endorsements. Merit and need will be considered when reviewing candidates. You can fill out an application today!
This scholarship is awarded on a rolling basis to qualified applicants until all available funds have been used. No application deadline.

Grand Rapids Trans Foundation
GRTF Academic Scholarship
This scholarship fund is to help transgender students with education-related expenses while pursuing a degree or certificate from an accredited college, university, or technical / vocational program with a satellite campus or permanent presence in Kent County, MI.
This award is open to people of any age who identify as transgender (including agender, bi-gender, genderqueer, non-binary, transsexual, and/or any other non-cisgender identity) and who demonstrate financial need.

2017 Eric Verhaar Scholarship
The Eric Verhaar Scholarship is available to prospective students in the amount of $1,000.
Applicants for this scholarship must be from West Michigan attending a Community College, 4 Year College or University or Trade School within Michigan. The prospective student must be from one of the following Michigan Counties (Allegan, Barry, Calhoun, Ionia, Isabella, Kalamazoo, Kent, Mescota, Montcalm, Muskegon, Newaygo, Oceana, Ottawa, and Van Buren counties).
Applicants must be currently enrolled at a Community College, 4 Year College or University or Trade School with Michigan. Previously chosen applicants are not eligible.

Lakeshore ATHENA Scholarship
This is a scholarship for female students pursuing advanced training and educational opportunities. Scholarship information and application. (Note: must be open in Internet Explorer to be able to type on)
The Freemont Area Community Foundation has scholarships available for Adult Students pursuing an undergraduate degree who reside in Newaygo County, MI or a Newaygo County, MI public school district.

Graduate transfer scholarships are awarded by the respective colleges and universities on the basis of financial need and/or academic achievement. Transfer scholarships available to GRCC students are posted outside the Financial Aid Office from November through April.
