Welcome to GRCC, your community college!

As you browse through our website, know that you have taken the first step towards fulfilling your personal and professional goals. By becoming informed of all our course offerings and programs, you will certainly find that our college provides many opportunities for learning and training.

Have you considered the view from atop a wind turbine? Some of our students are learning how to maintain and manage towers that harness wind energy, embarking on careers with great potential as society moves to a more sustainable lifestyle.

What about a career in health sciences? Just one block away from our campus, the Medical Mile boasts some of the most rewarding careers in medical research and health care in the country. Our top-notch nursing program is preparing students to participate in this dynamic field and contribute to the health and well-being of our community.

Maybe you like food. Yes, we have a number of great places to eat on campus - one of the many pleasures of student life. Yet in the snack bar or the classroom, you will probably meet some students who are learning the ins and outs of running a kitchen and a restaurant at our internationally renowned Secchia Institute for Culinary Education.

Perhaps, like many students, you aren't sure about a career just yet but you would like to start college. GRCC offers many academic paths towards an associate degree. If you are intent on eventually studying at one of the many excellent colleges and universities in Michigan, we will help you transfer credits so you may obtain your bachelors degree.

With so many career choices and options, why not start here at GRCC? From our orientation program, to financial aid, to counselors and tutors, our staff stands ready to help you every step of the way.

So, make an appointment to visit us, come and talk to some of our teachers and students. You’ll find GRCC a welcoming place of opportunities and possibilities.

I wish you great success! GRCC Works!

Academic & Student Affairs Completion Agenda

Our goal at GRCC is to increase student success through the accomplishment of the Completion Agenda.

This agenda includes a slate of specific college action projects (outlined in our Strategic Plan) as well as department-level projects directly and indirectly aimed at improving student success. Where the College is pursuing projects with indirect impact on the completion agenda, it is building infrastructure and capacity for future projects with more direct impact.

We will measure the success of our efforts by monitoring student performance in three specific areas:

Persistence, Completion, and Transfer

Persistence will be measured by:

• Fall to Winter term persistence (all students)

• Fall to Fall persistence (first time, full time students only)

Completion will be measured by:

• Number of degrees/certificates awarded

• Percent of students who earn a degree within six years

Transfer will be measured by:

• Percent of students who successfully transfer within six years (to 4-year or other 2-year colleges)
