Adult Education Partners

 

  • Dominican Sisters of Grand Rapids (http://www.grdominicans.org/index.php/our-ministry/sponsored-ministries/literacy-word-project/):  The WORD (Writing Opportunity Reading Discoveries) Project. The WORD Project provides an intergenerational literacy program of services to enable individuals to improve the quality of their lives and their community. These classes are run out of the Steepletown Neighborhood Services Center (http://steepletowncenter.org). The WORD Project ESL classes that provide free citizenship classes for members of the community who are ready to prepare for the U.S. Citizenship Exam are run out of GRCC's West Side Learning Corner. 

 

  • GRCC/Grand Rapids Public Schools: High School Completion Program at Wealthy Learning Corner.

 

 

  • Lake Michigan Credit Union (https://www.lmcu.org):  Lake Michigan Credit Union offers interactive sessions at the West Side Learning Corner.  Each session is designed to provide real life skill sills regarding personal finances.  

 

  • Literacy Center of West Michigan (http://www.literacycenterwm.org/): The Literacy Center of West Michigan provides adult education classes in Adult Basic Education (ABE) and non-credit English as a Second Language (ESL).
