GRCC’s Theatre Department is a thriving place students like to call home. The training and learning take place at GRCC’s Spectrum Theater, which houses four community theatre groups: Actors’ Theatre, Heritage Theatre and Jewish Theatre as well as a student group called GRCC Players.
Students can take classes ranging from auditioning, to dance and set design. Twenty four courses are offered with award winning faculty and staff in the lead role.
The house is rarely dark at the Spectrum Theater with all the performances and community events hosted there, such as ArtPrize. Each year, a large number of current and past GRCC-trained actors receive Grand Awards, given in recognition for outstanding community theatre.
